Film Review: Hereafter (2010)

BOTTOM LINE: Boring, tedious and completely lifeless with no sense of wonder or mystery, this film about the afterlife is the perfect cure for insomnia, despite some notable key ingredients that, if they had been used properly, could have made for a much better film. THE GOOD: One of the aspects of this film that could have had the potential to make it quite interesting is its broad scope narrative, telling three parallel stories in different countries while integrating real-life tragic events which are used to provide a haunting message of faith and belief in the after life.

They were a fascinating, gifted, brutal people that ruled their expansive region of east Central America for over 4000 years.

American Idol: Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice

This season has had its ups and downs without the personality of Simon Cowell there is a definite positive spin on the season. Without much of the discouraging harsh words in the beginning stages, Steven Tyler offers great criticism but is in a way, a little too nice. Idol seems to be missing a lot of its previous edge that it once had.
